[ ] On September 10, 1945, farmer Lloyd Olsen beheaded 50 of his chicken, but one refused to die
[ ] After a short run around he settled down has if nothing had happened
[ ] He never try to Peck for food, so Olsen named him Mike and decided to take care of the freaky miracle
[ ] Olsen deposited food directly into chicken's throat, using a small eyedropper
[ ] Scientists theorized the farmer's hatchet missed the jugular vein, so he only loss a piece of his brain that wasn't responsible for the vital functions of the body
[ ] Soon many newspaper wrote about the miraculous rooster
[ ] Olsen took his bird on a traveling sideshow across the United States, Mike fame grew as they traveled between cities
[ ] Mike earned his owner around $4,500 per month
[ ] The value of the chicken was estimated at $10,000.
[ ] Mike success growth consequently because of his fellow chicken
[ ] Other fame hungry farmers tried to create their own headless birds but they all have failed
[ ] For 18 months Mike traveled around the US, until his last trip to Phoenix with his fellow chicken
[ ] On March 17,1947 in a phoenix motel, Mike choked on a kernel of corn and olsen didn't have all necessary equipment to save him so the rosster died.
[ ] Olsen did not want to admit Mike because Mike was dead so he told the press that he'd sold the chicken
[ ] Miracle Mike remain famous, people even dedicated songs and poem to him
[ ] There's even an annual headless chicken festival organized every may
